New page-turn animation has disappeared

Hi all,

Recently I've been sideloading AZW3 onto my Kindle and have enjoyed the new page-turn animation that seems to pass like a wave to refresh the screen.

Yesterday, I started trying the KFX format and noticed that the books I've converted from AZW3 to KFX no longer support the new animation and have reverted to the old 'screen-flash' variant.

Do manually converted KFX books not support the new page-turn animation?

Edit: running 5.14.3.0.1 on a Paperwhite 5

I side loaded KFX to my Paperwhite (11th gen) and page animation works with it.

Note that page animation does not work when Dark Mode is on: it reverts to normal page refresh.

Hmm interestingly it's not working either on light or dark mode.

Update: Silly me didn’t have it enabled in settings. If anyone ever needs to find the setting, open a book, go to the font and formatting settings under ‘More’ you’ll find the setting.

I am also running 5.14.3.0.1, but I don't seem to have this feature. It must not be supported on my Kindle Oasis (9th generation).

It's a feature only found on Paperwhite 11th generation, which has a different processor and more RAM to work with.

if you use koreader the page-flip turn animation can even work with the dark mode, its a bit weird but works perfect
