How to Test Icon Theme zip?

I don't see an icon theme equivalent to the "Load plugin from file" button. Is there one? Full disclosure, I'm not trying to make a new icon theme. I'm trying to test how an icon theme would include custom plugin icons and how the plugin should use them. Thanks. |

Also, I'm trying to test -for-dark-theme and -for-light-theme file names on Cal6 portable by putting files in Calibre Settings\resources\images, but it doesn't appear to work? I see in the calibre code that -for-dark-theme and -for-light-theme only appear in calibre/utils/rcc/__init__.py. Do they only work for imported icon themes? |

Thanks! For those who don't click the link the change is: "Create icon theme dialog: Add a checkbox to install the newly created theme into calibre" It works; but theme creators should be aware to not use the resources/images directory while testing theme generation because the contents of resources/images overrides the icon theme just installed. EDIT: Also be aware you need to restart Calibre to see the icon theme you just created and installed. Last edited by JimmXinu; 07-19-2022 at 10:23 AM. |

You shouldnt need to restart. Sometimes Qt can be a bit lazy about changing icons, mousing over them should do the trick.
