Calibre not starting after 6.0 update
Hello,
I just downloaded version 6.0 of calibre and restarted my laptop several times, but unfortunately calibre won't start when I double-click on the usual icon. Does anybody have a fix for this or should I just reinstall an older version ?

hi Cedrus,

Assuming you're using Windows, please start Powershell from the Windows Run menu and when the Powershell console opens type in
Code:
calibre-debug --gui
and come back and post the output here so people can see what is happening on your machine when you try to start Calibre.

Many thanks for this georgemk.
I eventually managed to start Calibre 6.0 after using the repair function in Windows/Add or remove programs. Problem solved
