Linux, can't run Calibre, Qt "xcb" plugin error
Error message:

qt.qpa.plugin: Could not load the Qt platform plugin "xcb" in "" even though it was found.
This application failed to start because no Qt platform plugin could be initialized. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.

Available platform plugins are: eglfs, linuxfb, minimal, minimalegl, offscreen, vnc, wayland-egl, wayland, wayland-xcomposite-egl, wayland-xcomposite-glx, xcb.

Edit: Solution:

Run "sudo apt install qt5-default" from Terminal.
Press Y to install.

I hate to be redundant but an external search engine can be your best friend.

A search on Google with 'calibre qt.qpa.plugin site:mobileread.com' came up with multiple hits.

See Calibre 5.0.1 Could not load the Qt platform plugin "xcb" FIXED for one example. Kovid's suggestion of installing libxcb-xinerama0 seems to have worked for several people.

A Better Solution
Looking at the listed dependencies at https://github.com/kovidgoyal/calibr...y/sources.json, I removed qt5-default, and installed the listed package and its dependencies "PyQt5." Calibre works, and a little less storage space is taken by Qt5 related packages.
