			Hello!

Is there any way to view my ebook library with spines facing outward, like in a digital bookcase with shelves like an IRL library? It seems I only can view the covers. I know pdfs don't have a "spine" page, but I figure it would be easy to generate by scraping the font, author, and title data from cover page, and picking the colors as the cover's averages for text and background. Hoping this functionality exists somewhere and I just can't find it! |

Another issue, Most e-books do not have 'Spine' images. (I am not even sure if there are online ones for P-books)

Someone could probably hack the Generate cover code. to make a Spine Image. But then the code would also need to be made / modified (grid view). Have you tried the original (dates back to the beginning( Cover Browser? Note you can float the window And increase the number of covers shown (preferences Look & Feel) |

The default view in calibre shows you the title and author which is what you would see in a spine. Just think of the books being stacked vertically instead of horizontally, so you dont have to crane your head sideways to read the spines.
