Not sure if this is a Prime Day thing, since it appeared for me as a banner ad, and not on the "Prime Deals" page, but I'm putting it here anyway, since I figure most folks with interest in this sort of deal are watching this thread .

$25 for Echo Dot + Amazon smart plug is a good deal IMO. The normal plug price of $25 is ridiculous - I've seen Kasa's for $6 - but the Amazon plug I have has worked flawlessly, always self-recovering from power outages unlike my non-Amazon smart devices. Some have to be completely re-installed - put back into bluetooth pairing with phone app before they'll reconnect to WiFi.
