Just a couple of minor things that I spotted after using the dictionary for a day: 1. The quote marks were mostly " but sometimes used ` instead, so I changed them to always be " 2. Random unnecessary spaces within quotes (e.g. " quote here" or "another quote here ") removed |

 Russian - English from Wiktionary

I am very proud to bring a fantastic Ru-En Russian dictionary to the Kobo. Based on the Russian Wiktionary it has several fantastic features: 1. Vocabulary: 48 000 words (bigger vocab than ru-en Stardict) 2. Matching forms: 583 000 forms! 3. Shows the form of the selected word, for example, if it is genitive, or instrumental. Past, Future, imperative, participle, etc. 4. Shows the stress accent, so you know how to pronounce 5. Examples, all the great examples from Wiktionary 6. Romanized lookup, so it works great out of the box, without needing to install cyrillic keyboard. This is based on simplified romanization https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BGN/PC...ion_of_Russian The file is 26 MB, over the limit of uploads to mobileread. So you can download it over here. Download: https://fastupload.io/IAWQuDH5N0Jz54e Have fun! |

You are right. I uploaded it to my private server (since recently, I also made an e-book friendly translator page , maybe will share soon) Anyway, this is the new post, if someone can delete the old post... Is there a ru-ru version? I find the English Wiktionary often lacks certain Russian words and would love to use the Russian Wiktionary. This project exists but for Russian Wiktionary the links seem dead? https://github.com/BoboTiG/ebook-reader-dict I would be happy with a stardict version that works with Koreader, too Last edited by kandwo; 08-01-2022 at 11:38 AM.

Hi Kandwo, I made a stardict ru-en dictionary over here: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...postcount=1093 It is a nice addition, as it covers a different set of words. To make the wiktionary dictionary, I used the kaikki site that only uses the english wiktionary https://kaikki.org/dictionary/rawdata.html. It is unclear to me how to get a parsed version of the russian wiktionary in the same way. If I can get a parsed json version, like is also for the english, I can make a ru-ru version pretty easily

I have koreader app on a pocketbook, and I tried converting your attached English-Romanian kobo dictionary to stardict - unfortunatelly it does not work: - I used the dictzip-decompile-windows.exe utility to obtain the .df file from the kobo dictionary. - And then I have used pyglossary to transform the above .df file to a StarDict dictionary - which is accepted by KOReader. However, once I put the obtained stardict dictionary on the pocketbook, the KOReader application detects it - but it does not work: all translation attempts will not work anymore, not even with other dictionaries that are also installed. Help on this topic would be greatly apreciated. Thank you in advance!

Hi guys, I am looking for a Hungarian monolingual dictionary for my Kobo, but so far I haven't been able to find a ready made one. I saw multiple tools online which claimed to convert Wiktionarys to StarDict or Kobo format. I was wondering if anybody had any luck using them and could recommend me a good approach for creating one. |

I want to use Kobo's standard English dictionary in KOReader (convert it to StarDict). How do I go about doing this? I put dicthtml.zip through penelope and got some StarDict files but it seems like KOReader isn't able to search them (though it detects the dictionary), as any searches come to no results. Thanks! |
