Kindle PW3 serial jailbreak error "swipe feature is not supported"
Device: Kindle PW3
OS: 5.14.3.0.1 As I replied in other posts, my PW3 updated to 5.14.3.0.1 automatically and the jailbreak is gone. So I decided to follow this post to do a serial jailbreak. Everything worked as expected until I tried to execute the jailbreak script. I copied everything inside kindle-5.4-jailbreak.zip in kindle-jailbreak-1.16.N-r18869.tar into root directory of Kindle. And I got the follow error. Code:
[root@kindle us]# sh jb.sh info jb_install:mount_root_rw:: Mounting rootfs rw info jb_install:install_update_key:: Copying the jailbreak updater key info jb_install:install_fw54_exec_userstore_flag:: Creating the userstore exec flag file info jb_install:install_bridge:: Installing the jailbreak bridge info jb_install:install:: Setting up MKK persistent copy info jb_install:install:: Setting up RP persistent copy update_to_display: update_mode=PARTIAL, wave_mode=257 inverted=0 swipe feature is not supported in this platfom G1 Thanks. |

Don't know how to modify or delete the post, but it seems that the script did manage to do it's job and the jailbreak is back online after waiting for long enough time. KUAL and MRPI works as expected.
Thanks again for great guides in mobileread. |
