American Science Fiction: Four Classic Novels 1960-1966 is $2 on Amazon.com
Collects these novels:
The High Crusade by Poul Anderson
Way Station by Clifford Simak
Flowers for Algernon by Daniel Keyes
And Call Me Conrad (aka This Immortal) by Roger Zelazny

All, except Zelazny's, were individually on sale in the past.

This is a nice Library of America edition that has many footnotes with clarifications and some background information about the works.

Given how highly I regard the first three, I must try to get the fourth!

I have two of these, and it's still a deal.

Gary K. Wolfe picks good works for these collections (although sometimes rights issues prevents some choices)

The previous collection, with 50s novels, had a special website with short introductions by other authors. For this one, they just have an interview with Wolfe.

I have Way Station on paper. Recently re-read it after a gazillion years and it's certainly a classic. But still a good deal for even two of the others. Offer doesn't seem to be on UK, but people in Ireland can choose USA or UK for all their Kindles.

If you register a Kindle with ONLY an email and a gift voucher sent to that address bought in Amazon US (by person registered on any Amazon), then the Kindle is in the USA with no address and no credit/debit card details.

Several tordotcom novellas are $1 at Amazon US (links below) and probably Kobo US right now:

Permafrost Alastair Reynolds, confirmed at Kobo US
Void Black Shadow Corey J. White
Her Silhouette, Drawn in Water Vylar Kaftan
Everything Belongs to the Future Laurie Penny
Sunset Mantle Alter S. Reiss

I've read the Reynolds and the Penny and found them worth the read. Sorry I ran out of time to confirm the other links, Friday plans are calling.

Isolate by L. E. Modesitt, Jr. is $3 on Amazon.com
Start of a new gaslamp political fantasy series.
Quote:
Industrialization. Social unrest. Underground movements. Government corruption and surveillance.

Something is about to give.

Steffan Dekkard is an isolate, one of the small percentage of people who are immune to the projections of empaths. As an isolate, he has been trained as a security specialist and he and his security partner Avraal Ysella, a highly trained empath are employed by Axel Obreduur, a senior Craft Minister and the de facto political strategist of his party.

When a respected Landor Councilor dies of “heart failure” at a social event, because of his political friendship with Obreduur, Dekkard and Ysella find that not only is their employer a target, but so are they, in a covert and deadly struggle for control of the government and economy.

Steffan is about to understand that everything he believed is an illusion.
The Album of Dr. Moreau by Daryl Gregory is $3 on Amazon.com
Novella.
Quote:
Combines the science fiction premise of the famous novel by H. G. Wells with the panache of a classic murder mystery and the spectacle of a beloved boy band.

It’s 2001, and the WyldBoyZ are the world’s hottest boy band, and definitely the world’s only genetically engineered human-animal hybrid vocal group. When their producer, Dr. M, is found murdered in his hotel room, the “boyz” become the prime suspects. Was it Bobby the ocelot (“the cute one”), Matt the megabat (“the funny one”), Tim the Pangolin (“the shy one”), Devin the bonobo (“the romantic one”), or Tusk the elephant (“the smart one”)?

Las Vegas Detective Luce Delgado has only twenty-four hours to solve a case that goes all the way back to the secret science barge where the WyldBoyZ’ journey first began—a place they used to call home.

The Dark Tower I: The Gunslinger by Stephen King is $2.99 at Amazon US.

Quote:
A #1 national bestseller, The Gunslinger introduces readers to one of Stephen King’s most powerful creations, Roland of Gilead: The Last Gunslinger. He is a haunting figure, a loner on a spellbinding journey into good and evil. In his desolate world, which mirrors our own in frightening ways, Roland tracks The Man in Black, encounters an enticing woman named Alice, and begins a friendship with the boy from New York named Jake.

Inspired in part by the Robert Browning narrative poem, “Childe Roland to the Dark Tower Came,” The Gunslinger is “a compelling whirlpool of a story that draws one irretrievable to its center” (Milwaukee Sentinel). It is “brilliant and fresh…and will leave you panting for more” (Booklist).

I've not seen any of JK Rowling's Harry Potter books go on sale quite this cheap, and no idea why it's the second one, and not the first one (to hook people), but here you go: Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets for $2.99 at both Kindle and Kobo US.

But I already think it's pretty cool of Rowling to put them in KU anyway...

Kindle US: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0192CTMW8
Kindle US/Smile: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B0192CTMW8
Kobo US: https://www.kobo.com/us/en/ebook/har...r-of-secrets-6

Spoiler:
Quote:
'There is a plot, Harry Potter. A plot to make most terrible things happen at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry this year.'

Harry Potter's summer has included the worst birthday ever, doomy warnings from a house-elf called Dobby, and rescue from the Dursleys by his friend Ron Weasley in a magical flying car! Back at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry for his second year, Harry hears strange whispers echo through empty corridors - and then the attacks start. Students are found as though turned to stone... Dobby's sinister predictions seem to be coming true.

They had an omnibus edition for $14.99 in early 2016. I don't remember if they decided it was a price mistake or what, but I appreciated it. Averaged at $2.15/book. This is the lowest I've seen an individual book though.
