Not all the Regency books are overloaded with Regency Cant if you don't like it. Two of the detective/mystery are or were reduced. Some titles are more Historical and one is an early book she "unpublished" when she became successful.

Some have abysmal HTML/CSS. More original covers can be downloaded via Calibre. We don't like the new style photographic with Bridgerton stickers.

Listened on Overdrive, narration is good. Likable MC, much larger than expected world. Book 3 releases 10/18.

Chicago Stars by Susan Elizabeth Phillips

#9 - When Stars Collide - 4
Listened on Overdrive, narration is good. Solid SEP but not one of my favorites. This one had a suspense element that was overly convoluted.

Immortals After Dark by Kresley Cole

#17 - Wicked Abyss - 4
Listened on Overdrive, this one had been languishing on mount TBR. Narration was good even though I was initially surprised by having a male narrator. Beauty and the beast story. Will have to pick up the 2 self pubbed installments.

The Wall of Winnipeg and Me by Maria Zapata - 5

In KU but listened on Overdrive (Brooklyn library is awesome!) Narration is good. Very satisfying slowly evolving romance in a longish book. Now I have to track down Zac's story, Hands Down (oh dang, audio not on Brooklyn but I see that Chris Brinkley is a narrator, he was sooo good on the Penny Reid books).

Don Tillman by Graeme Simsion

#1 - The Rosie Project - 4
Listened on Overdrive. Narration is very good, all male POV. I might follow up with the later books but lots higher on the list for now.

Lazy Girls Guide to Magic by Helen Harper

#2 - Star Witch - 3.5
#3 - Spirit Witch - 3.5
#3.5 - Sparkle Witch - 2
On KU but listened on Overdrive. Liking the narration less and less. Entertaining but not as good as the Supernatural London series. Brutus the familiar is the best thing in this series. The novella at the end is skipable.

ICYMI the release date for Nalini Singh's Storm Echo has been pushed to Aug 9th (supply chain issues). So far the audio date and International release (on Aug 28th) have not changed, only digital and hardcover.
