Patch to change / edit Sage Homescreen

Back when I was using a Kobo Glow I came across a patch that let me edit the homescreen allowing me to have an extra row of books featuring what I'm currently reading instead recommendations etc.

Now I have a Sage and I'm wondering is there a patch that will remove the "My Books", a section that groups books by a specific author, and the Kobo Shop and Related Reads? Thanks

I don't know of any patch that adds an extra row to the home screen. But there is a patch that will remove the two text links at the bottom of the home screen (Remove footer (row3) and increase cover size on new home screen in nickel.yaml). I've attached an image of my home screen after the patch.

The top half of the home screen will display up to four currently reading covers. If you are only currently reading one book, it will display that book on the left and then a collection on the right.

Second row will always display My Books on the left and some random collection on the right. If your Kobo is new, the random collection will be a recommendations link to the Kobo store, but that will go away as you use your device.

I think the permanent My Books collection should go away since there is also a My Books button at the bottom of the screen.

Thanks, I must be mis-remembering what the patch did. I agree, its a waste that My Books has two links to the same place.

The top two rows are simply different filters in My Books. That Home page isn't needed at all.

I don't understand wanting to avoid the home page.

I get it on the Kindle, where it is all ads. But on the Kobo, I like the random collection selections.

I wouldn't call it random, since for me it is always the last collection I called up, even if I didn't select a book from it.

EDIT: I suppose it would be random for someone who never calls a collection

EDIT2: I use the third row for my words (under another name) and my articles.
