The ones I remember had some kind of ruffle design on the top and they were milk chocolate through and through.

I've been married for 29 years and in that time, the most I've ever contributed to our household income is 25%, and that much only in the last couple of years. So for my wife, a husband has been by far the most expensive thing she's ever had.

That doesn't sound ridiculous at all. To me, it sounds like pretty much the definition of a good marriage.

I've been married for ~40 years. Neither my wife or I have been concerned over whom is contributing more to the family income. Perhaps having taken up the rather expensive hobby of raising children may have had something to do with that.

Let me tell you, this whole thing goes out the window when the wife has... a wife.

Luckily for us, we have always been equal contributors in one way or another even though our individual earnings have ebbed and flowed. I certainly would not be where I am in my career without her backing.

I make my own. Buy some boxes of Kraft macaroni and cheese and pour the dried cheese powder packets into a jar. Pop some popcorn, put it in a very large bowl, sprinkle lots of melted butter over it, then sprinkle the dried cheese over it. It sprinkles more evenly if you use a little sieve. Stir often with a big spoon while sprinkling.
