I'm reading Presidential Donor by Bill Clem. It's on a Mobipocket promotion for 3.99. It is an awesome read. This is the second one of his I've read having read Microbe during the free ebook week. So far he has not disappointed. This book is a medical and political thriller. very exciting.

I read and really enjoyed Daniel Abraham's An Autumn War. Sadly, only the first of his books is available for the Sony, as I would have preferred to be able to download this one.

The author specialises in "quiet" fantasy, so it won't be for the real action-heads here. But if you like good world-building and the most fascinating magic system ever conceived, then you should give him a try.

As I listen to Timeline I am thinking, boy this sounds like a move I watched once. So, a quick check on imdb and yep, Timeline by Crichton... and yes I have seen it. Of course it was years ago so the details aren't vivid. The "book" is getting better now that something is happening.

Gerard Butler was in that movie. Yum.

I'm reading Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency, about thirty pages in, and I noticed two things:
1. McDuff (sp?) mentions he's working on software for Apple that takes financial data and turns it into music. The Professor says "Tunes?" and Richard says he'll have to remember that. Made me think about iTunes.

2. The comment about Greek ferry timetables. 20 years later and they still operate like that. Cracked me up.

That is all...

I love that book My pbook is practically falling to pieces, and the cover is much the worse for wear.

Well... I finished _Neptune Crossing_ by Jeffery Carver. It was a very good book, I enjoyed it quite a bit.

Of course, now I have to continue the story so I started reading _Strange Attractors_ by Jeffery Carver....

I love free ebooks!

I just finished Snake Agent by Liz Williams, which was very good, and now I'm enjoying reading Doc Sidhe by Aaron Allston. I'm only in the first chapter so I don't want to make any judgements yet, but I'm having fun.

Yep, I read the series earlier in the year and had to keep going to find out what happened. I would definitely recommend it...but won't say any more as I know you're reading it for the book club.

I'm currently reading Bone Crossed. The forth title in the Mercy Thompson series. I'm particularly into the series at the moment.

One odd thing I noticed is that Fictionwise doesn't offer this book in the Mobipocket format, despite the fact that they did for the previous titles. It's on Mobipocket.com though... for the full hardback price of course.

Just finished Stieg Larsson Bk1.

Yep I have just finished "The girl with the dragon tattoo" ... Fantastic...Am now madly searching for, book 2 of the trilogy....
"The girl who played with fire."....Not easy to find in e-book format...But one can live in hope. Took ages to locate book 1..because they did not allow downloads into Downunder Land....Probably experience much the same story with book 2.
It is interesting to note that when I tried to buy Book1...It was going to cost me .... AUS.$36.00..That was in late MARCH 2009. and I was refused purchase because of the Australian download...Last week, I bought the PRINT version for AUS.$14.25, from K-Mart.
Question : How do publishers justify these price differences over just a few weeks ?????

That's the Millenium trilogy. It's great isn't it? I just finished the second and can't wait to get to the third.

YGG says it's even better!
