Anyone try Kindles new Epub support with Calibre?
Ive read that Kindles now have epub support, sort of. It seems it will be converted on device to KF8 after transfer.

Anyone know how metadata is handled on these items now that the Kindle itself was able to see the tags before it was converted to a format it displays? Like does it properly use the Title/Author tags?

What about the Series tag? Is it ignored when converted, or does it properly place those books into a series now?

kindles dont support epub, amazons email delivery service supports it.

True, my mistake. Not on device, but on their cloud backend.


Still curious about how it handles (or doesn't handle) series tags of these uploaded books, if it works, sending to kindle email with Calibre might not be too bad.

the backend simply converts to amazons formats and sends those and amazons formats still dont support series.
