Sorry for the poor description of what I want.

The area for the bottom tap zone seems to be about 1.3 x 1.6". For the top, it appears to be the width of the screen (minus the page mark area) x 0.4". This is for the Forma.

For a Glo HD, the height at the bottom seems to be 1.2".

@JohnF,

I can see how customisable menu tap zones would be nice to have but I've no idea how to achieve that. To me, it sounds more like a fw re-write than a simple patch, but you'll need to wait to see whether @geek1011 responds otherwise.

Would it be possible to add an option when highlighting a phrase/sentence to search Google Translate? I believe google translate automatically detects language, and it's a lot easier than flipping between 2 devices to translate.

please increase warmth sdjustment steps
The Kindle has 25 levels of color temperature control. Kobo is only 10 steps. please increase the warmth(natural light) adjustment steps.

Not possible (outside of the Aura One), the LUT is handled internally by the kernel, and only exposes the same number of steps you're familiar with (and no individual LED control).

The Kindle, on the other hand, handles that mapping in userland, so we *do* have access to individual LED controls. The downside is that the mapping is much less accessible, as it's implemented in powerd, so doing it by hand would require RE & maths.

You can do that with NickelMenu (see the config examples for an example; you can tailor the option to use any search engine).

When reading a book, you can select a word for definition. There is also an option to search Wikipedia or 'search google'.
Google is blocked or has cookie issues in some countries, so it would be good if there was some way, even by config file to change that query URL. (to duckduckgo for example)
In Europe you have to scroll several pages of google terms & agree every single time, so google is not a viable search engine on kobo.

Thank you for all the great work for making kobopatch!
I wonder if it is possible to consider introducing a patch to customise long-press delay, particularly to make it shorter for triggering the dictionary lookup and highlight when you are reading an ebook, or calling the contextual menu when you are tapping and holding on a book in your library collection.

No the number of books displayed is hardcoded and can’t be increased

It would be nice if the header could be automatically disabled on the first page of each chapter, for aesthetic reasons, to make it look cleaner.

Jon, how sure are you of this?

I ask, because there is no header for the first page of a book, and there is no page number displayed if there only one page in a chapter. This for for kepub.
