Hi. I guess i have a problem. I did everything as told to until Step 8 of Jailbreak. Since rebooting i've been struggling with the misconfigurated lockout, which is not going away while using 'the secret gesture'.
I have no clue how to with deal that issue and I would be really happy to fix this.

Hi guys, I was thinking about the rolled back 5.14.3 by Amazon on its server...maybe wants to try to change something into the software to kill jailbreak when will be release again...

Any other idea

The jailbreak release was delayed in order to allow Amazon to fix the vulnerability which they did with the release of 5.14.3. Probably there is another issue that forced them to rollback.

ah ok..somebody here ,like me, installed, after jailbreak PW5, the new 5.14.3...so for everything works well...new SW 5.14.3, Kaul,KOReader...

That is correct. Because he did the jailbreak on a version which had the vulnerability (5.14.2 or before). Upgrading does not kill an existing jailbreak, but the vulnerability is no longer there so if you are already on 5.14.3 and not jailbroken then there is nothing to be done.

Unhappy Update Your Kindle option greyed out
A JB noob here...I had successfully installed the JB along with Koreader in my PW3 with FW 5.14.2. Someone told me that I could register with my amazon account, but when I did, the KUAL icon was gone. I tried resetting the device and repeating the same steps again, but the 'Update Your Kindle' option is always greyed out. Sometimes, even the restart and reset options get greyed out. What am I missing out? Somebody help me please!!!

Hello don’t reset device, first install Jailbreak Hotfix, and then just reinstall KUAL booklet version (Update_KUALBooklet_e3deabf_install.bin)

Well for the life of me I can't get this to work on my Kindle Voyage 3G (5.13.6). It's worked perfectly on my Oasis 3 (5.14.2), and Paperwhite 5 (5.14.2).

I keep getting stuck on Jailbreak step 9. Every single time it has an Application Error there. I reboot, and repeat steps 8 and 9 without connecting to USB and still the Application Error. I tried the suggestion of overwriting demo.json but it's done nothing for me.

I have already reset my device a number of times to retry. The hotfix and the KUAL update are not installing because I cannot update the device.

Angry Stuck in managed mode
Hello, I didn't get an answer to my question, so I went ahead and tried JBing a PW5 5.14.1.1 in US locale, and not only did it not work, but it is locked in Managed Mode and says contact your system admin. No Wifi, no Bluetooth, no registration, no reset.

Any advice? Does anyone know how to exit managed mode?

Did you try formating using DO_FACTORY_RESTORE in root or try ;exit_demo

Hi, YES :
To finalize JB, you still need to use "Update_HOTFIX_PATCH", which finalizes JB and returns you to normal mode.

Just copy HOTFIX to the root directory and enter "update" in KINDLE
