highlighting and unhighlighting in Kindle app

I'm using the Kindle app with an iPad mini and this is my first Kindle book. I figured out how to highlight but how do I unhighlight?

I see YouTube videos showing how to highlight which I already know, but none showing how to get rid of the highlight.

Long press on any part that you've highlighted and you'll see a 'DELETE' option pop up.

Thank you. In fact long pressing gives several other options as well.
