Problem with KP7!!
Entered "DEMO MODE" and at the bottom of the screen there is a message: "CONFIGURE DEVICE - This demonstration device is either missing content or is disconnected from the network"
Secret gesture doesn't work (double tap on the right bottom of the screen + swipe left)
When I tap on the screen it only respond by changing background picture.
I connected to PC and it detects Kindle device but can't access files.
Also after long press power button it reboots but still in "demo mode".
Is there any solution?

The problem in my case is that in "demo mode" there is no search bar.
There is a message on the bottom of the screen. CONFIGURE DEVICE - This demostration device is either missing content or is disconnected from the network

• To be able to mount kindle as a repository (access to files) type in the search bar: ;uzb


• You will now connect your kindle via USB to your PC and you should have access to the files.
To get out of DEMO, try also:;exit_demo

PS:
If you want to exit DEMO mode after "jailbreak", move the following file to your KINLDE :
Update_hotfix_watchthis_custom.bin = This will take your device out of demo mode, rebuild the application registry and clean up unneeded jailbreak files.

UPDATE FIXED:
Secret gesture does work (double tap on the right bottom of the screen + swipe left)

It's little bit tricky because I literally tried about 20 times before succeeded

It's simple but kind of tricky. I took me several attempts before it brought me to the main menu. I think it's because of Kindle touchscreen responsiveness

I had serious problems jailbreaking my PW4 and PW5. At the end I did it without so many instructions, as for example, ;enter_demo did nothing. I factory reset both, then typed ;enter_demo, restarted, then typed ;uzb, then typed ;demo, filled dummy store data, tap on side load, then create the .demo folder and put files. Kindle complained no program has recognised, reseted via button, repeated ;uzb and ;demo, exited, went to the help menu and restarted. Jailbroken happened. Then followed with "Post Jailbreak" instructions.

No special gestures, no special stuff. For my PW5 I even put the content of PW5-5.14.2 unzipped into .demo folder as it was the only way to jail it. And it is jailbroken because now there are extra folders with some scripts.

My problem now is how to install fonts patch, that is the only stuff I'm interested in: have custom fonts in my side loaded ebooks.

This is a French ini file... I think it has nothing to do with my problem.Thanks anyway.

At this moment finally I've installed KUAL (coplate, as normal didn't work), and now I'm investigating font issue, but this font issue is out of this thread).
