Troubleshooting Paperwhite Special Edition Bluetooth Audio

Today I got my new Amazon Kindle Paperwhite Special Edition.

I tried to connect it to my bluetooth audio device FiiO Q5s, to no avail.

Firmware version is 5.14.0.1.
After restart the firmware version is 5.14.1.1, still the same problem.

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm going to take a guess based on reading the FiiO Q5s manual online and watching your video. In the video it appeared that you pressed the Bluetooth ON/OFF button for 2 seconds. According to the manual it says to press it for 2 seconds if the devices have already been paired before. If not, then the button needs to be pressed for 5 seconds to start the initial pairing.
Just a guess.

I'm curious why your firmware hasn't been updated to 5.14.2 or even the brand new 5.14.3.

To correct my mistake - it's Signature Edition, not Special.
The firmware version now is 5.14.2.
5 sec press solved the bluetooth audio connection problem. Thank you.

Wow! I'm shocked! I really didn't have much confidence in my guess. I really thought you would come back and say "Yeah, I tried that. It didn't work."

Created this User just to say THANK YOU! My kid was driving me nuts with this issue. I don't blame her as I would have done the same to my parents. Sh*t rolls downhill as they say, Anyways, got it working thanks to you!
