No, I want all books to be kepub on one Kobo and all epubs on all the other Kobos, same calibre books, but different Kobo models.

It might be possible using this, though I'm not sure what 'only works in GUI' exactly means
![]() https://manual.calibre-ebook.com/gen...orage-location I'd try something like Code:
program: '(Kobo Libra H2O|Kobo Aura HD)' in connected_device_name('main') Last edited by ownedbycats; 04-10-2022 at 10:56 AM. |

With the beta, what @ownedbycats suggested should work if they are different models. If you have two of the same model, you can use "connected_device_uuid('main')". The value to compare it to is in the file "driveinfo.calibre" in the root directory of the device when it is connected.

You can also get the UUID by plugging in the device and putting program: connected_device_uuid('main') in the template tester.

Using this amazing plugin, is it possible to automatically remove soft hyphens during the Send To Device process? Without disabling hyphenation?
My ideal set-up would be: -Use Hyphenate This! to put soft hyphens on my epubs, so I can have hyphenation in the Calibre Viewer -When Calibre is sending eBooks to my Kobo, it removes soft hyphens during the conversion-to-kepub process. The Kobo Reader does on-the-fly hyphenation anyway, and soft hyphens screw up search. Or is there some other solution I haven't thought of? |

And yet *another* missing chapter, this book was missing Chapter 6. I find it weird that I'm the only one with this issue, I feel like it must be something in my configuration. Is there anything I should try to change or redo on my side? I'm on an M1 Mac.

I would ask in the Action Chain thread to find out if this is possible. |

For what it matters, you can set an action chain to add a book to the send-to-device reading list, then run a sync action if the device is connected (using a conditional that checks 'connected_device_name'). Very convenient.

Can you set an action chain to run Hyphenate This! to remove soft hyphens and then run Reading List to send what's in the list to the Kobo?

I don't use Hypenate This! myself, but as long as it has a menu option somewhere it should be possible.

When it happens, there might be an error in the calibre debug log. But, to see it, you would need to run calibre in debug mode and check the log. Or keep it until you see a book with the problem. Either way it will be painful. |

@meeera Your code is probably very clean
![]() This is probably caused by a minor code error in one of the files. FWIW Very rarely (1 time every couple of months. been happening for a couple of years), I send an EPUB as KEPUB and the file is corrupt when I go to read it on my Kobo. I must delete the book then resend . Using the Validate in the Editor, does not see any issues. ![]() (Win X64 Calibre) |
