Hello, I also need an image for my Kobo Clara HD.
The SD card I had in it before died and can't be read anymore.
Turning the kobo on just results in the little power light flashing and a blank screen.

Hi, my mother in law ran into a problem during an update on her Kobo Clara HD and it has been in a 'restoring' loop ever since.
Tried all the suggestions on resetting or restoring the device, but it never left the restoring loop.

Can I get an image for the Kobo Clara HD so she doesn't have to buy a new one?

Thank you so much!

The image worked perfect on a new SD card. Unfortunately I haven't been able to format the original SD card that came in the Kobo Clara HD.
I tried formatting in windows, tried to wipe the card in disk manager, third party tools and also tried removing the write protection (which also failed).

Is there any way to wipe the original card or is it a lost cause?

It is just an SD card, so deleting the partitions using Disk Management should work. Or something like SDFormatter. Or just write the image to it. But, if none of them are working, it probably means the card is failing. That would explain the original failure. In this state, I wouldn't put to much more effort into it, and I'm not sure I would trust the card for anything important.

Thanks. The mirror worked perfectly, but unfortunately my Clara Hd is still bricked, it seems to be a screen failure issue, so it's the worst case scenario

The original Aura does not have an internal SD card. This means that there is no easy way to restore an image to a non-working device. Some people have had luck booting the Aura from the external SD card with the Aura H2O image. I am not exactly sure how that works or what they do afterwards, but, I can supply the image if you want to try.

Kobo clara hd stuck on restoring mode
Hi, everyone. I factory reset my kobo clara hd but it's stuck on restoring display. I have tried holding the power button for 5-30 seconds but it just loops back to restoring. I think I may have damaged the led light too when I poked it trying to fix it.
Requesting an sd image is my last resort. Can someone send it to me? And walk me through the process?
