They are the original trilogy of Pern stories. There are other series set on Pern such as the Harper Hall of Pern, etc.

The Sellswords Trilogy from Forgotten Realms is on sale at Amazon for $1.99 per book. This is part of the Drizzt series, but centers around one of my favorite characters in the Forgotten Realms world, Artemis Entreri, an assassin. It's not high brow fantasy, but it's enjoyable for a quick read. The first book is here:

I enjoy a good D&D book from time to time.

Though I haven't read any Salvatore. My one attempt was Canticle and I thought the book was abysmal. I genuinely was surprised the book was published. I stopped about a third of the way through. Maybe I picked the wrong starting point, or maybe he gets better.

Are you sure about that? I couldn't find any complaints. And after the fact edits often bring out the hordes with their torches and pitchforks.

The complaints I saw were about typographical errors and those were from years ago.

I have the omnibus linked to and the stand alones, in ebook and paper. Any particular passages I can check to confirm?

I've had this omnibus since 2018; I haven't done a page by page comparison, but if they've edited it for the YA market they did a terrible job of removing the sex scenes.

I want the sex scenes. Any editions available as ebooks?

If this is about the "it might as well be rape" paragraph mentioned in this reddit thread and this blog post, it's in this omnibus.

Any other scenes I should search for?
I couldn't find any mention online of redactions or edits in newer editions of the series.

It's definitely not for everyone. It's not great literature. Very easy reading. I think I'm very forgiving of the writing because I enjoyed it as a teenager. Sometimes I'm in the mood for something easy to read.
