For me, I don't even notice the extra weight.

It's all those eBooks that adds noticeable weight.

I'm from the Philippines and I've searched high and low for a cover. They're all the same faux leather shiny finish that digs into your palm.

I used to have a cloth-style cover for my glo but I can't find one here.

The clear case I ordered arrived last week. And so far I'm really loving it. It's comfortable to hold, and it doesn't feel as bulky.

I'm debating if I should put a popsocket on it tho. And I like that I can put stickers/prints inside the case for some personalization without committing to it.

ebay here is just a bunch of drop shippers that gets their items from aliexpress, while jacking up the price up to 3x. And Aliexpress has some nice cloth covers, but shipping is more than 3x the price of the case

I've looked into importing from Amazon directly, and everything added up would be more expensive than my Kindle, just for one case

I think I'm happy with this clear case. I'm just looking for a nice sleeve. I found a potential one. All the reviews say it has a thick padding. That would probably survive inside my bag. I'm just waiting for some free shipping deals.

I've always used a sleeve to transport/store it. When I'm reading it I don't want a case on it. I figure the risk of damage while I'm reading it (the only time it's out of the sleeve) is minimal.

I use a "sleeve" cover where i can slide my kindle into while i don't use it. it's like a bag that is padded on the inside and really comfy. doesn't scratches the screen at all and protects it well enough if you don't sit on the kindle or something like that.

If I have it out of the sleeve, it's in use. When I used to read on Paperwhites and had a case, the screen was exposed during reading/use either way too. I don't find it to make a difference protection wise for the screen. The main times it will be scratched up or damaged is if sitting around exposed (cats - yikes), or in a purse or being traveled with. (keys in purse - yikes). A sleeve or case protects the device during these circumstances.

With the paperwhite, I enjoyed having covers and found it easier to hold. With the Oasis 3, it's so light and the ergonomics make it easy to hold without a case, so I never bothered trying it with adding.

My Kobo Forma never leaves home and I don't use a cover for it, but other devices (Nook Simple Touch, Kobo Aura H2O) live in fitted covers that I bought on Etsy. There's a wide variety available, from versions made for specific readers to simple sleeves padded and/or reinforced with stiff material.

I made sure that I got something that was reinforced to guard against flexing since I was more worried about that than a simple impact.

I don't like reading with ereader covers and always use something very similar to a phone case -- it's just goes around the back and adds protection to the sides, to stop the screen from impact if it falls. Adds very little weight and doesn't need to be removed. I have a padded case for travel but I find my paperwhite travels just fine in my purse and doesn't really need to be babied.

Just an update for anyone who cares. The sleeve I ordered hasn't cleared customs yet in China, so it would probably arrive in 3 weeks

I got my sleeve for the Oasis from aliexpress. I found the exact same one there for $5.99 that was available on Amazon for like $24. I didn't mind waiting the extra couple weeks.

How much did you pay for shipping? I found some nice sleeves there, but the shipping fees are like $20+.

Shipping was only a few dollars. I remember the total after shipping was 9-something.

Must be a region thing. I couldn't find anything with shipping that's less than $10.

Possibly. I'm in California if that helps.
