My Audible Premium Plus special promo deal (4 mths @ $6.95/mth) expired yesterday. On going to the Audible US home page today, I was presented with an offer of one free month (trial) then $1.95 per month thereafter for Audible Plus. Regular price is $7.95/mth. Naturally I accepted the offer!

There seems to be no end date for the $1.95 pricing so I will stay on it for as long as it lasts. I have MANY books added to my listening library and was in the middle of a juicy one ("Badlands" by Peter Bowen) when my membership ended yesterday. So I am one happy camper today. Didn't want Audible Premium as I struggle to select titles to buy with my credits. (How to choose???) This solves my dilemma with an extremely attractive price tag.

Just posting this in case others qualify for the offer. If your membership has expired, it's worth checking the home page. Or, sign out of your account and go to Plans & Pricing. For those who aren't aware, Audible Plus is a subscription for unlimited listening to a (very) restricted subset of Audible titles, podcasts and Originals.

There are several Great Courses lectures in the Plus catalog I've been interested in but not willing to pay $7.95 a month because I know I'll sometimes go weeks without listening to anything from there.

Same here! I also subscribe to Scribd for ebooks and audiobooks ($9/mth) so I have an embarrassment of riches to choose from. I saved a screenshot of the offer in case I have a future dispute over pricing (yes, it happens more than it should with Amazon/Audible); also, my confirmatory email about my new membership says I will be billed $7.95 at the end of my free trial... so we shall see. Glad you could take advantage of this offer, I find it one of those unbelievable deals.

Mine says the same - I didn't even notice that small print! Do you mind sharing your screenshot via PM for me to hold on to just in case? When I browse Audible in an incognito window on my laptop, it's showing the offer as $7.95 a month. When I browse on my iPad, it's $4.95. I can see there'll probably be trouble after the trial month is over

Yes, there will be trouble. I just ended a long and unsatisfactory chat with Ambra from Customer Service who claimed that she could not see the screenshot that I sent to the customer service email customersupport@audible.com 3 times (at her request), could not see it on MY website link and anyway it was a system error. The renewal rate is going to be $7.95. Tough luck for you and me, sorry.

Seems that if you see a "rogue" offer on Audible's own website and click on it, it is assumed that you are lying and they cannot receive your "proof" however you send it. So even my saving the screenshot did not help this time. Anyway, Loosheesh, I am glad that at least you saw the offer and I'm not losing my mind (yet). Enjoy the rest of the free month! I put a reminder in my calendar to cancel the account on March 18th to avoid the renewal fee.

You can go ahead and cancel now; you’ll still keep your membership and Audible will cancel on the billing date.

Thanks, I'm aware. I usually keep the account "live" until the day before renewal to see what other wonderful offers to upgrade may come my way... I have already received a banner ad offer for a free month of Audible Premium Plus (with a free credit) but that may be a "system error" also.

Okay, the plot thickens! After my contentious chat with Audible Customer Service, I received this very confusing email, details below. Non-members at random will be selected to receive an offer of a free trial month, followed by renewals at $1.95, $4.95 or $7.95. You won't know which until you click the link in the email. When I am logged out of my account, the offer says renew at $4.95 per month. So I will not cancel my account, and see what I am charged on March 19 renewal date.

Save those screenshots, people! And prepare for a bumpy ride. Sad Sidenote: I must be really bored during this pandemic-induced isolation to be engaging in such a frivolous to-and-fro about this...

Audible USA has a big sale going on. 50-85% off most audiobooks. Look at your wish list! Good time to get those short books and novellas. Obviously, the discounts for a lot of books is more than your current credit cost, but it's nice that some random popular books are really inexpensive. Finally got Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir for $4.49.

Sale is 5 days for some books and 10 days for others.
