kobo clara HD boot loop no solution
Hi guys,
my clara HD went in bootloop yesterday after installing 2 cbz on it.
I tried the "how to fix boot loop" procedure from this thread https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=311227 but even after the update my ebook is still stuck in boot loop.
I removed all the books from the memory card but no change.

Do you think I have to reinstall the firmware with a fresh image disk?

I have sent a PM in response to another post. But seeing this, try a factory reset following the instructions on https://help.kobo.com/hc/en-us/artic...or-Kobo-Elipsa.

Thanks mate but unfortunately I'm not able to turn it off. It bootloop without any chance to let me turn it off. The front page is displayed for 10 seconds before it boots again...

What happens if you just hold the power switch down for at least 20 seconds?

Nothing! I can hold the switch down for 10 minutes and the loop goes on over and over until there is no battery left

I finally managed to turn it off. I did a factory reset and thought my problem was over. Therefore I downloaded an epub and a cbz. After the usual book update my reader went in bootloop again...
Before that I found some log files in the .kobo directory. (stack_XX.log)

Update on my problem:

I found that my original SD Card should be corrupted.
So, I bought a new one (class 10, 16Go) and burned the image sent by davidfor.

After a lot of time I finally managed to launch the restore process with the new SD installed but my reader is now stuck on the restoring page. At the time I'm wrinting this the reader is displaying "restoring" with the black and white dots moving for more than 30 minutes
Is it usual?
