Sorry for my ignorant question, I don't understand why you need this on Kindle device when the Amazon is already offering it?

Or does it actually hard edit the file to make it work on non-kindle devices?

like I am using Moonreader to read .mobi file on an android tablet

Not every book sold by Amazon has Word Wise or X-Ray enabled.

These features require a sqlite file(created by WordDumb), only Kindle device/app supports them.

That's so sad

I have been saving to get a Kobo's sage but I am a Wordwise user because of my english skills. Wish this feature would work on any device someday!!!

I have a galaxy tablet with kindle app installed

I put 2 mobi books in the kindle folder in the tablet

I use calibre to scan just that one folder and found those 2 books

Then I use the WordDumb plugin to generate wordwise onto the book but nothing happens

Did I do anything wrong here?

WordDumb only send book and files to connected Kindle device. Android app requires a rooted phone to copy Word Wise file, iirc. Currently I don't have any rooted Android phone, maybe someone have done this could share the steps.

- Check ASIN of book on device if it's not sent by the plugin
- Add install KFX Input plugin error message
- Update dependencies
- Use relative `imports`

If a book has already been sent to the Kindle with the plugin, can i use the plugin again and send it over or i need to delete it from the Kindle first?

Just click the plugin again, it will delete the old file automatically.

Was thinking, could be possible to add an option to split names by first and last in order to continue using X-Ray on them? Something like X-Ray could work with "Brandon Sanderson" but also with "Brandon" and "Sanderson"?

Also i noted that in the book i'm reading the following character does not shows up in X-Ray:

that's caused by the <br> ? I'm guessing. That is the difference i noted with another one that works like https://stormlightarchive.fandom.com...ro&titles=Cenn

WordDumb uses spaCy's Named Entity Recognition pipeline to find person names and other X-Ray terms. If a character is not included in X-Ray, it's because spaCy doesn't recognize the name. Try the large spaCy model, it has higher NER precision.

I already use the RapidFuzz library to merge similar X-Ray entities, it works quite well for names.

About Rapid Fuzzy, yep sorry. I don’t know why but the Kindle thinks that things like “William’s” is a name, without separating the two words :/ Is this related to the plug-in?

v3.18.1 makes X-Ray entities like this selectable in the book.

spaCy's next version(v3.3) will provide trained models for Finnish, Korean, and Swedish. IDK when they will release it, stay tuned.

Hi! I'm new to using this plugin, and ran into a small issue -- in the Preferences, where it lets you add a Fandom URL, it doesn't seem to accept URLs with hyphens in them. Is there a workaround or fix for this?

v3.18.3 allows hyphens in URL. Update should be available in calibre soon. You can also install the new version manually.
