Troubleshooting K3G Can't Register Amazon Account

So I had to use the Kubrick utility on my Kindle Keyboard (with 3G), and now I can't register it to my Amazon account. I was able register it back in October 2021 when I first got it off of eBay.

Amazon Support isn't helpful, as all they'll do is 15% credit-back with the purchase of a new Kindle.

Is there any way to 'hack' my account onto the (jailbroken) device?

Edit: I found a backup of the root filesystem I made before I started working on my custom kernel for the device. Perhaps I can drag-and-drop a file or two across to the device from the backup?

It is for firmware 5.x, but maybe it would work on a K3

But doesn't the K3G also have wi-fi? Have you tried that?

It won't register till the time & date updates, if it's wrong. WiFi or 3G needed to set the date.

I am able to login to Amazon through the web browser, so it's not a expired/not-yet-valid problem with security certificates. But the web browser can't register the kindle, I don't think.

The Amazon shop works when the clock is wrong date due to reset/flat battery. Registration probably doesn't use the browser.

It is on 3.4.3 (3543620001). Which should be the latest version according the Amazon page with the software updates on it.

Date and time was set correctly. Still no dice, before and after changing it from UTC to Local Time.

I've run out of suggestions. Unless the serial number was reported to Amazon and it's blacklisted/blocklisted, or they have blocked it by accident, then it will never register.
My KK3 works on WiFi and my DXG on 3G.

What exactly is your message when you try to register? "Internal error" or "connection error?

Double check the DATE. Not time. You get that message if it hasn't reset the date which takes about a day of Mobile or WiFi being on.

I think if you type

into search it shows the date.

I did, with 'date' in an ssh shell. It was correct.
