I would like to offer two suggestions for customizing the caliber menu bar to your liking
suggestion #1 possibility to move selected icons to the right side of the menu bar suggestion #2 creating a second separator with a larger width Please have a look at the attached picture which will say more than a thousand words Or maybe there is a way for the user to do it himself? |

The #2 doesn't seem relevant to me, if you want to make a strong separation, use 2 normal separators.
But #1, Yes Afterwards, the menu can fill up completely quickly and when they don't have any space left, Calibre "stores" the excess buttons in a "button" all on the right. So I don't know if a big empty space like that in the middle is easily compatible with this behavior Last edited by un_pogaz; 02-08-2022 at 04:23 PM. |

Have you considered putting the tools you want on the right into the optional second Tool Bar, the Menu Bar, the Context Menu, or the Favourites (plugin). BR |

The way I've seen other programs handle this is an optional spacer object, added similarly to a separator.
Personally, I don't see much the use myself -- the toolbar fills up quickly enough as it is. Last edited by ownedbycats; 02-09-2022 at 09:53 AM. |

Preferences and Help are on the (icon free) Menu bar The Main toolbar is mostly 'applies to Library' (or the device when connected) The secondary toolbar (is at the bottom) is per selected items) Find, fix,polish.... Stuff I don't frequently will be on the related (right click) Context menu Stuff I never use, is hidden (removed) |
