Thanks for testing the nightly. Also see https://github.com/koreader/koreader/issues/8401
You can grab the older nightly from http://build.koreader.rocks/download...b1_2021-10-31/ (or the 2021.10 stable; I don't think we've had any data format changes?) and overwrite your directory. Alternatively you can wait a day or two and do the same with the new nightly fixed by @NiLuJe, assuming he has time. ![]() |

Whoops. Just saw Frenzie's reply above. Installed the previously nightly and all is good. Thanks!

I'm forcing a new nightly build with the fix to avoid further disruption, should be up in a short hour

I just purchased a Sage, and am an avid fan of KOReader. Is it ok to load it on it when it arrives, or is still being worked? I assume I would need to use the latest build??( my prior ereaders all use the KOR dev nightlies).

It should be fine for you to test (last stable or any nightly). If you find an issue other than high battery comsumption please open a ticket in https://github.com/koreader/koreader/issues The battery issue is mostly non fixable. IIRC kobo/nickel workarounds it by sleeping all cpu cores between page turns. Maybe NiLuJe attempts to do the same in KOReader (we already do that in Pocketbooks) but that's not being worked on at the moment. |

Because every device is different ;o).
(The Libra, first of its name, also suffers from some weird driver quirks which took us months to diagnose). TL;DR: Requires someone with the device to actually look into it (and, ideally, would require someone familiar with eink quirks [i.e., me] to actually have time to steer people in the right direction. And as I currently work in the health industry, hahaha, free time went bye-bye). The fact that the Libra 2 issue actually triggers the watchdog reboot makes it that much harder to remote debug. I've been using KOReader nightlies as my ONLY reader on my Sage since late November. As the attached stats for January shows, that's A LOT of use. No issues at all, other than the battery suckage, nicely explained by those who know. The reading experience is fine, the Sage has a great screen, KOReader is working fine, I can put up with the picosecond battery life

The *Libra 2* is a WIP.
While I don't own one, I happen to own both a Sage & an Elipsa, so that's significant motivation to make sure (as far as I'm able to) it doesn't horribly crash and burn there ![]() |

Which may have just saved me a significant chunk of change. I was seriously considering getting a Libra 2 as a second reader to take with me on a road trip next month, for its longer battery life and more portable size, but a trouble-free KOReader trumps both those for me, thanks! |
