Evolution by Stephen Baxter is on sale for $1.99 at Amazon US.

I haven't read Evolutio yet, but highly recommend Stephen Baxter. He reminds me of Arthur C. Clarke. If you liked one, you would likely enjoy the other. They also collaborate very well.
