Thank you!
My final question (really, it is!). I have downloaded Bitter HT both from Google Fonts and the designer website. I don't understand how but they are different. It's like the one in the designer website has a "bit more of space between lines" if it is possible. It should be exactly the same, right? Could be so kind of trying? They are called different, Bitter and Bitter Pro but the glyphs are identical... |

To me there is a noticeable difference but then I've been interested in fonts for decades. To the average person? I;m not sure if most of them would see any difference.
The 1.201 version also has more glyphs but again, if you don't read something that would involve displaying one of those glyphs, you wouldn't notice any difference. For instance, 1.010 has 4 currency symbols while 1.201 has 20. See the attached images from FontForge to see the supported glyphs. Last edited by DNSB; 01-11-2022 at 03:08 PM. |

Thank you! I will keep the 1.010 as I have already installed it. And as you say, I am far from expert regarding fonts.
![]() And what about the strange difference between the Bitter font depending on the download source. Do you know what can be happening? ![]() |

I agree. I've tried using a medium weight for regular for a couple of fonts, but didn't like the result. The regular with Kobo's weight adjustment looked better.

I notice in the Amazon link there's Bookerly and Bookerly display. And in the Bookerly folder, there appears to be Bookerly and Bookerly LCD. Would I be right in assuming that the font in the Bookerly folder that does NOT have LCD would be the one to use on an ereader? |

But version 1.010 did ship on Kindles so that's probably the one you want from that package. Since then, there was also version 1.020 and the current 1.201 version with the glyph expansion, but you would need to extract those from Kindle firmware if you want them. |

Anyone know what difference there are between the versions of Bookerly available here and here and the version that is on an e-ink Kindle?
If I install one of those downloadable versions, what differences might I notice on my Kobo? Like I remember I prefer Literata Book to Literata. From memory, there is more padding on regular Literata. Book is more condensed. (All this concern, yet I already have Bookerly on my Kobo, I think the e-ink version that someone here shared for a hot minute, and I still use Literata Book anyway.) |
