If you use kepubs with the default OS instead of epubs, you'll get faster page-turns.

I turn pages in epub and kepub at the same speed.
If the epub is slowing down, then this is due to the incorrect breakdown into html pages in the epub book. Too much weight.

I already use kepub. Plato is still significantly faster, specially when an image is in the current/next page. Plato seems to have much less "ghosting" when changing pages also.

I can see a difference in the speed epubs and kepubs render pages. For epubs, it gets slower as you go through an internal file, but, it is there for shorter chapters as well. But, as it doesn't change how fast I read, it doesn't bother me.

Just me?

No matter how few changes i make, the minute i put the resulting tgz on the Kobo and eject, it does its reboot thing and 3 dots go on until i get bored and reset it

done this 5 times now - redownloaded both the patch zip and firmware, cleaned the folders etc. checked the log..doesnt show any issues

not my 1st time patching the firmware, but this latest one is tanking 100%

what gives?

Please don't double post. See my reply to your duplicate message in the Kobopatch - An improved patching system thread.

My apologies, I fixed it

Would u happen to know:

-I am confused on how to change the "Shop Kobo" link. This is the 3rd row link on the left (the right side I have pinned to just be a link to the pocket articles)

The instructions to set the shop kobo link seem confusing to me as its more than just an "enable" instruction

-Is there no way at all to remove the 2nd row? I dont want a link to "My Books" or unread books.

-Im not seeing anything regarding this, but would it be possible to remove the "Discover" button from the task bar since this is already on the homescreen?

Sorry but I'm not an enthusiastic user of KoboPatcher. Basically, I spent most of my time reading so I rarely stay on the home screen for more than a few seconds.

It does not need fixing because it works as well as it's always worked on a ClaraHD.

If you were hoping for a more helpful response then I suggest you put some effort into describing your problem in detail. This is a technical subforum, "not working" is useless as an error report.

One thing you have to do is edit the ePub. There are margins set in the CSS that need to be set to zero.

You're right.
I just tested with the patch on and off and the cover size does get slightly bigger, i just thought it wasn't working because the difference is small
