I couldn’t, but I think it pointed me to the issue: seemed like I had not the release version of 0.9.21 but a debug version in use

Hi, I've noticed that if I just try to replace the `plato` binary while it is running (that is, I plug my kobo in, set Plato to 'share' mode, replace the file and then restart Plato) then it stays at the same version, as if I hadn't replaced the file.
I instead have to share from Nickel, when Plato is not running. Then replacing the file works as expected.

As far as I know, replacing a binary while it is running should work just fine on linux, what am I missing here?

Hey folks, new to Plato (and this forum). Apologies if this is the wrong place to post this.

I have an issue with the way Plato is rendering these soft breaks between sections. It looks okay in Calibre + in KOReader, but doesn't appear to have the correct spacing in Plato.

This is the section of the ePub: the rendering of this book's `hr` elements are a bit unexpected. Is this something I can tweak in the epub.css files in plato?

See attached two images - one from Calibre, and then a picture of how the section is rendered via Plato. Notice the lack of space above "JOHN COATES"?

I already have NickelMenu installed and I don't really want to install more things than I need to.

Can Plato be installed and launched with just NickelMenu or is Kfmon absolutely necessary too?

This might have to do with the fact that /mnt/onboard is lazily unmounted when Plato is installed there.

It would seem that the unbreakable space vanishes during one of the transformation phases. I'll investigate.

1) Is there a way to disable the automatic orientation change that takes place when the device is rotated?

INTERESTING ! Kobo hang problem just requires waiting for start if first time?

I was having a 'problem' with Plato hanging on attempted start:
'[KFMon] Launched plato.sh]'

But I looked at the log and it did seem to be processing many books.

So I decided to try waiting, and voila !
It started!

Alright, thanks for the info. To alleviate the issue, I've added this block to the end of plato.sh

if [ -e plato-new ] ; then
    mv plato-new plato
fi

so that I can just update by dropping the new version as plato-new and restarting it.

The main binary isn't the only file that might have changed in the released archive.
