I was just comparing the Sage to the Forma (I own both). The main difference for me is the screen, which has noticeably better resolution and clarity on the Sage. While this difference is minor, and might not even be noticed without a careful comparison, it is very important if one is going to spend hours reading the device every day. It is especially important for dark mode, which is built into the OS of the Sage and can be added to the Forma. Dark mode is 100% better on the Sage. I don't use the Sage for writing things or marking up pdf's (it's too small), but for reading it's by far the best e-reader I have seen.

But you need to plug it in also to charge the power cover. Less often than having no power cover but you end up with basically two things to think about. Same as having a 10k mAh powerbank that you can take with you. Probably the pb will weigh the same but gives you more juice. |

For my use case, the power cover is the most convenient way. I'm not saying it's that way for all others. Everyone uses their reader in a diffferent way. Last edited by Sirtel; 12-29-2021 at 06:42 PM. |

I have impaired motor skills - the sleep cover is not difficult for those whose motor skills are not impaired, but putting it in the case and ESPECIALLY taking it out of the case is fiddly and difficult when doing it essentially one handed. For me, that is. Otoh, Plugging in one of the half dozen or so USB-C charging cables in my 16m2 living room/office where I spend 80% of my life is no problem at all

Getting it out I can see problems. I usually stick my thumb in and prise it up while holding the back. I can do that one handed, but, have slipped enough times that I can see it could be an issue if you have any problems with your hands. |

I know that all the sage's have some button side brightness, but does this look like too much? This is on 30% brightness. Do you think an exchange would help out or is this how all of yours looks too?

Hard to say, but I don't think the strip on mine is much different.

My opinion is that if it shows on the photo then it is worse in actual. I had a Libra h2o before that my eyes cannot get used to the screen uniformity isssues but no photos can show what my eyes see. If it bothers you, send it back. No point in keeping a reading device that will interrupt your reading because of the screen. If it does not affect your reading, keep it. For me it will not be a premium experience with such a heavy e-book reader after using it for some hour. |

As has already been said several times, people don't always use their reader in the cover. I use all my readers naked, so to speak, and always have. A cover, for me, is the means to hold my reader safe when I'm NOT using it. So the weight doesn't matter.
