Anyone here upgraded from a ClaraHD with any regrets on the upgrade? Did you feel it's a big enough difference?

Mine has arrived. Very very happy with it.
Minor nitpicks. The cover is half as heavy as the ereader. I find I am removing the cover when I am using it at home. Much lighter to hold when reading. The other thing is when it times out (goes to sleep) with the cover on and the cover not closed but folded back, it is awkward to peel the cover back and get to the power button (which because of the cover is quite deeply recessed and harder to press) |

But, much to my surprise, I have found the 7.8"/8" readers very usable. When I got a Aura ONE, it was for my wife, but I was trying it first. I didn't want to hand it over. The same happened with the Forma. And now the Sage. I'll get the Forma back, so I'll see what happens after that. It is very personal. Some live the 6" ereaders. Some think the 6.8"/7" are perfect. Others, the bigger the better. And others are pining for a Mini replacement. You really need to get your hands on one and try them to decide. |

Think it's worth buying if you've got a Forma? I bought the 32 GB because I wanted the storage and now that's standard on the new models.... |

Since you already owned the Libra H20, only you can answer the question. That said, I would say absolutley! The improvement and quality of the display alone is enough reason to upgrade, not to mention the other improvements. (coming from a Forma and Libra x2 owner) It really is an excellent device.

I was gifted a Libra 2 and have been using it for a few days. Really love it except for one major issue - it seems to randomly go to sleep while I am reading. I checked the energy settings, increased the time before sleep setting. Still getting the issue. I can't easily replicate it - sometimes I can make it 1-2 chapters before it happens, sometimes it happens after I turned a single page. But it does happen usually at least once per session.
I have the sleep cover folded so that the device is propped up. I am wondering if this is some sort of magnet issue? I disabled the auto-sleep cover setting and haven't had the issue since, so far. Any suggestions? Should I try to replace the cover itself? |

Most probably magnet issue. I use mine without a case and i have not experienced what you described. Not even once. One of the reasons i do not use magnetic cases is because i wear an automatic watch everyday. Magnets re enemies of automatic movements. Instead i use a pouch/sleeve with thick foam padding and very soft furry inside lining. Last edited by Deobulakenyo; 12-19-2021 at 10:12 AM. |

Since I finished a book on Friday on my Forma, the husband graciously agreed to let me have my Christmas Libra 2 yesterday.
I set it up using Kobo desktop, and installed my usual patches; like both buttons go next and reduce header and footer height. I sideloaded a load of books via Calibre in epub. The thing did freeze twice, once after the initial firmware update, and once after I sideloaded a load of new books, but nothing a long press on the power button didn't fix. I have the slate blue official sleep cover. I have to agree that the screen is lovely and sharp. Reading on it is an absolute pleasure and it is noticeabley sharper than my forma. I am liking the ergonomics of it. It is different to the forma, and I am not used to it yet. The buttons are in a different position and the wedge side has a slight bulid up on the outside edge, not on the Forma, almost but not quite a Ridge on the outer edge. I like to read holding the wedge side in both hands at the bottom lying on my back in bed (or on a sunlounger on holiday) and when I first encountered this almost lip feature, I wasn't sure. But then it sort of fits in the side of the knuckle on my thumb as it rests on the button to turn pages and feels nice. Still getting used to it but it is not uncomfortable to hold. Just different, at the moment. I was also worried about the weight difference, coming from a lighter reader, but so far it's fine. I would not like to go heavier, however. Buttons, which I remember being stiff on my Forma when it was new, are fine and responsive with no stiffness. I am very much enjoying my Libra 2 so far. Sent from my Mi 9T Pro using Tapatalk |

I have been waffling between reviews of the Sage and the Libra 2 for a while now. I have the Libra h20 that I bought in the spring with Birthday money, and then a few months later of course there would be 2 models that I am interested in. (I am quite happy with my H20, especially since I discovered how to do dark mode via here and reddit)
It looks to me like I would appreciate the Libra 2 more than the Sage. I have no interest in their audio books, so being able to use the 32GB for books is definitely a plus. Also new devices are finally catching up to USBC which I am happy about. The only thing that would make the Sage appealing is if I thought I wanted to mark up using the pen thingy. Knowing myself, I'd be all over it for a month and then either lose interest after the novelty wears off, or lose the expensive proprietary pen ... I did actually have to think about that, because the promotional photos were rather cleverly enticing. But I saw various posts in the Sage thread about people who returned theirs which made me change my mind. So it looks like, when I receive my gift money, I'll get the Libra 2, after having read the threads and watched the videos of opinions of both. Happy December and best wishes for 2022, everyone. |

Interesting. I never base a purchasing decision on others' returns.
