Is there way to spell check just selected files?
Running spell check on a book with several files (index.xhtml, bibilo.xhtml, notes.xhtml, photocreds.xhtml for example) which have LOTS of acceptable abbreviations, names, etc. but spell check flagged most of them anyway.
If I could somehow spell check just the 'real' files, that would greatly decrease the number of false positives that I still need to look at to be sure Last edited by phossler; 12-11-2021 at 08:44 PM. |

delete the files, do your spell checking, re-add the files.

Is there a way to set the lang parameter in a file to something (other than the default language for the book) that would cause all words to be accepted?
Code:
<?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xmlns:epub="http://www.idpf.org/2007/ops" xml:lang="nospellcheck"> <head> <title>The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes</title> <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="../epub3_01.css"/> <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="../styles/epub_55.css"/> <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="../styles/Georgia.css"/> </head> <body> Code:
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xmlns:epub="http://www.idpf.org/2007/ops" xml:lang="any"> |

i would also like to be able to explicitly include/exclude files from spell checking.
But I would not want to change file contents to make it happen. So, I'd settle for something that didn't persist - in fact I'd rather it didn't. A spellcheck include/exclude toggle in the File Browser context menu would suit me - it would probably be best initialise it to include. BR |

Good idea (biblios ...). Wouldn't it be interesting to have a predefined snippet to insert this comment?

The Exclude Files works very well -- thank you
1. I added a Snippet to insert the <!-- calibre-no-spell-check --> with trigger = "nsc" I only get "ns<<!-- -->. Am I putting the snippet in wrong? 2. Not to sound ungrateful or picky, but would it be better to display the Exclude Files in book order, instead of alphabetically?? |

the snippet works fine for me, from your description you likely have conflicting snippet triggers.
And no alphabetical is the correct sort order for this list since the purpose of the list is to find a file to exclude not read through the book. |
