Yup, and the Amazon B&M stores can't process exchanges/trade-ins. Which is REALLY annoying because I'm only going to be in the US for another 18 hours. Grrrrrrrrrr!

Back in my day, if the electronic systems went down, we'd write things on paper, then process them when the systems were up.

This reminds me, a food delivery guy showed up at my door last week with a mechanical credit card imprinter and carbon slip. I had a flash back. My kids had no idea what it was.

Who cares about all those? I don't recall seeing thousands of people in around the block lines at any Amazon B&M stores around here, and that's what we're talking about. The rest of AWS transactions are irrelevant, just as the millions of Visa and MasterCard transactions, other than the few dozen that were done in my store, were irrelevant back in my day.

Had to comment on this - I rarely see TV commercials but today I saw one for a dishwasher soap arguing that since modern dishwashers use so little water you should run them every day no matter how small the load. Nice way to talk up using 2 or 3 times more of their soap than you actually need!
