Good thing I caught the sale here; by time I got the notice from eReaderIQ, Alpha Night was back to full price.

Yeah, it's real hit or miss for the 24 hr price drops if you'll see a notification in time. Lately I've been getting faster notifications when tracking an author instead of particular books, even though I do both. I also have everything in a variety of Amazon wish lists, it's pretty quick to scan through each morning.

I have pretty much everything of mine on eReaderIQ in author alerts, and I've noticed that those can lag the actual price drops by some time - and I've noticed that lag pretty much since I started using eRIQ. But usually not a crazy long lag. Usually if I miss a sale price it's due to me being busy and not having time to look (!!!), and not to eRIQ not having it in my notifications when I finally have time to look at them. But there are always exceptions, so I too have a small wish list of favorite authors I look at myself.

Thanks for sharing your experiences. I'll try tracking by author at eReaderIQ to see if I get better results. As for Amazon, I track some authors there but not books. I should tighten up my system.

Spoiler:
A Paranormal Women's Fiction with a bit of class and a lot of sass, for anyone who feels like age is just a number!

Every woman goes through changes in their forties. Just not… these changes.

Robin Brannon was a normal wife, mom, and antique-shop owner until a brush with death turned her day-to-day life upside down. Now she and her two best friends are seeing things that belong in a fantasy novel. Ghosts. Visions. Omens of doom. Nothing that belongs in the peaceful mountain town they call home.

Added to that, Robin’s marriage is on the rocks, her grandmother’s health is failing, her mother is driving away the customers at her shop, her teenage daughter refuses to get her driver’s license, and her left knee aches every darn morning.

Robin doesn’t have the time, energy, or knees to unearth the secrets buried at the bottom of Glimmer Lake, but fate doesn’t seem to care. Some secrets are just dying to be exposed.
Seconding this one. I loved this whole series.

Rosalind James is having a very short-lived "sale on the pre-sale" of Kiwi Gold, the fourth in her New Zealand Ever After series. In the US, it's $2.99 basically for just the rest of today, I think. Not sure how much it will be after the sale, but the other three books are $5.99 right now. And £2.99 in the UK. And I get the impression that it's probably on sale at some other Amazon stores too. It's due out on April 1, 2022.

I'm an adventurer, not a girl-dad.

When you grow up with a single mum and quadruplet baby sisters, you find out two things. You can change two diapers at once, and you don't want to. Anyway, my job was finding gold, and however much I liked New Zealand, it had already been explored.

Rescuing a woman dressed in a nightdress at a costume ball? That worked for me. And holding her up against the wall to shield her from the cops was pure enjoyment.

Driving with her to a barbecue, a fruit salad in my lap and her twins--her girl twins--in the back seat? Out of my comfort zone.

And that was before she started asking me for dating lessons and wondering how to explain that she couldn’t have sex before marriage.

I had it under control, though. I was coping. Until those four sisters of mine decided to go looking for their sperm donor.

From KU this week . . .
  • Revealed in Fire (DDVN #9) by K.F. Breene - 4
  • Mentored in Fire (DDVN #10) - 4
  • Battle with Fire (DDVN #11) - 4
Didn't care for the finale as much as some of the earlier books but it's still good. End of the series but there are still some unpaired characters so I wouldn't mind seeing a branch to this world.

Purchased (warming up for BF)

Has anyone here read the Sarah J. Maas Throne of Glass series? It's one of the few potentially good deals I'm seeing today. I haven't read anything by her yet but she gets crazy good ratings.

Amazon has the 8 book bundle for $5.99 and Kobo has it for $5.39 which drops to $3.23 with the still working "partners" code.

The only other notable sale I'm seeing is Dragon's Don't Eat Meat (Valkyrie Beastiary #1) by Kim McDougal for $0.99.
Spoiler:
Someone is killing dragons. And the killings point to a civil war brewing among the fae.

When Kyra Greene finds an abandoned baby dragon, she doesn’t want to bring him home. But until she can hunt down his thunder and stop the dragon killers, she’s on babysitting duty.

As a pest controller with a soft heart, Kyra already has an apartment full of rescues, including a basilisk who thinks he’s a turkey, a banshee nanny, and a pygmy kraken. She might take care of them, but they also fill her need for family. And when that family is threatened, she’ll risk everything to save them. She’ll even join forces with the handsome and irritating captain of the city’s vigilante Guardians, who never fails to show up at her most undignified moments.

Along with a quirky cast of misfits and unruly critters, Kyra leaves the safety of Montreal Ward and travels through the dangerous Inbetween—the land beyond the protected city states, where magic is the only rule of law. Can she reunite the lost dragon with his thunder and stop a new and sinister force from invading their home?

With over 400 five-star reviews, see why readers are calling Dragons Don’t Eat Meat a laugh-out-loud adventure with delightfully evil critters and a slow-burn romance.

Dragons Don’t Eat Meat is the first book in the Valkyrie Bestiary Series. Paranormal suspense with heart.

I've read and liked several of them, and the bundle was cheap enough I snagged it to get the remaining ones. (Also, a couple of them I had gotten from my library, so now I'll have my own .) I think of them as a bit more fantasy than romance, but in the grey area in-between.

I like a lot of Mariana Zapata's books, but my range of liking her books is wider than for many authors. From Lukov with Love is up there, though, for me - I'd rank it just a tad below my two most-favorites, The Wall of Winnipeg and Me, and Kulti. Lukov is on US Kindle Countdown right now at $0.99 for about half-a-day more, and then it's going to be $1.99 for a while too. (It's normally $4.99, but is also KU, if you have a membership...)

If someone were to ask Jasmine Santos to describe the last few years of her life with a single word, it would definitely be a four-letter one.

After seventeen years—and countless broken bones and broken promises—she knows her window to compete in figure skating is coming to a close.

But when the offer of a lifetime comes in from an arrogant idiot she’s spent the last decade dreaming about pushing in the way of a moving bus, Jasmine might have to reconsider everything.

Including Ivan Lukov.
