I'm just so glad that I include my devices in my profile, it helps me keep track (because that listing is sufficient for me to be totally up the creek without a paddle )

The only reason I’ve ordered the Forma 32GB from Kobo (after my disastrous Sage purchase) is because it’s my only change of getting one, and it’s on sale.
You might not be punished for Brexit but that’s maybe a reason why stocks are filled in Europe before UK.
I hope for you the situation will change quickly.

I would like to announce that I have just now ordered the Kobo Libre 2 (white) and the Kobo Libre 2 Cover (red), and that both items should arrive during the first week of December, presumably in the year 2021. Ordered from Amazon. (You may now applaud.)

Shipping, of course, will take only two weeks to Peru once my sister mails the package from the U.S.A. When it arrives, Customs will hold it for 5-6 months, assuming that it is not 'lost' during transit. Too, magic is very prevalent in this country and packages sometimes disappear. I've decided to notify Harry Potter if this happens. Or at the very least, Carnacki, if the magic is imbued with mysterious and occult properties.

No doubt you’ll get yours before Amazon UK even ship.

From Amazon UK I ordered the Black Libra 2 on the 12th November and the Lilac cover on the 5th November. I had ordered the white and red cover before but I had cancelled those orders so today I re ordered the White Libra 2 and the Red cover. None of the items have any estimated date, it’s a wait and see what happens

I only want one, I just have no idea which one will ship first.

Sorry for those delays you're having.

I almost pushed the Buy button on Kobo [U.S.?], but decided to go with Amazon.com instead. When I ordered, Amazon showed 3 red covers left. Both ereader and cover are provided by some outfit calling itself BlueProton.

Hopefully, I won't get screwed.

And in your subsequent post you hope the seller is legit.

Libra 2 is the name of the device, not libre (unless you've purposefully made a typo or it's a non english spelling)
I've mentioned it because you queried the seller's authenticity (at least I think that's what you were referring to)

I’m sure you won’t. I’m waiting for Amazon to be the seller. We have a couple of third party sellers offering the Libra 2 by mid December for the grand total of approx £300 . I think I’ll pass on them.

I just got my Libra 2 (white). I have to admit I was a bit skeptical about the whole increased contrast thing, but seeing it side by side with my Libra H2O (white as well) in real life, the improvement in contrast is really noticeable! The text on the Libra 2 almost looks bold in comparison, and that is just on the menu, I haven't tried reading on it yet (still loading my books).

The frontlight is also very, very even, a bit creamier in colour compared to the Libra H2O which is more of a stark, almost bluish white. My H2O's frontlight wasn't that bad - it was noticeably brighter in the bottom right corner, with one notch of the warm light helping making it much less noticeable - but it's a definite improvement. Would definitely recommend upgrading from the Libra H2O if screen contrast/frontlight are a priority.

As for the rest of it, I don't believe weight is going to be an issue, though it is noticeably bigger than the H2O. It feels good in the hand but the weight is distributed slightly differently, a little more towards the center of the device rather than the edge. The buttons feel good, less noisy and easier to press. The only con is that it looks slightly less premium than the H2O because of the bigger bezels and stockier shape. The plastic looks identical but it's a little bit more matte/grippy on the Libra 2.

Also, I'm being very nitpicky but I liked the H2O's power button better.

Thanks for the detailed review and comparison!

Libra 2 seems to be a great improvement over H20.

Some people have mentioned ordering from that same seller for their Libra 2s on Amazon. So far, all of them were satisfied.

I've ordered from their Ebay store for the Libra 2 Basic SleepCover to try them. We'll see.

Hi everyone,
How is the responsiveness and speed on highlighting and annotating/notes for Libra 2? I have a Kobo Clara HD and I find highlighting to be slightly infuriating at times.
Will I notice an upgrade to the Libra 2 in this regard ?
Many thanks!

Well, I ordered the Sage Power Cover from them through Amazon last week, knowing damn well that it was next to impossible that they had it in stock. Same listing was on eBay.

Order was acknowledged and my credit card was charged, and I received notice that it was being prepped for shipment. I was given an approximate arrival date.

Of course, the day before it was supposed to arrive, I received notification from Amazon that the order was cancelled by the seller, without other explanation, and it took a few days for the pending charge to be removed from my CC account. I am not pleased.

Apparently, though, Blue Proton, along with Wal-Mart are their authorized US vendors.
