(American here.)
Immediately popped off the back cover, gently removed the micro-SD card, and imaged it on my Linux laptop. Applied image to new Samsung 256GB card ($40 from Microcenter) and expanded the FAT partition out to the rest of the space on the card. Popped it back in the Libra 2 and booted it up, registered it, and immediately loaded the ~5,000 books/manga to it.
Installed KOReader and now it's all good.
I'm lazy and just never want to have to worry about storage on it ever again.
I also have a Clara HD that I upgraded to 64GB and it's excellent as well but I wanted a bit bigger screen to better read manga on.

Coming from an older Kindle Paperwhite model, the two Kobos are a nice upgrade.

Now for those that were discussing the "waterpoofing" on the micro-SD card, I found my model had a very thin film of something covering the micro-SD card itself but did not find any globs of that stuff anywhere on the mainboard itself.
All I did was break out my PC tool kit and pushed the card out from the back of the card holder via the tiny hole that is there with a fine set of tweezers while wiggling the card a bit side-to-side and pulling with my fingers. It eventually pops out. Then I cleaned off the card, captured the image, applied it to the 256GB card.
It booted up just fine from the new card, no need to go to great lengths to clean any waterproofing gunk off the micro-SD card holder. It's like the coated the factory card with the waterproofing film making sure to keep it off the contacts and then just shoved it into the slot to dry. Also used a small plastic pick to scrape under the exposed part of the card sticking out of the slot to separate the waterproof film from the mainboard.
All told it took about 10 minutes to pop the cover off and remove the factory micro-SD card.
So for about $225 total I now have a nice 7" e-reader with 256GB of storage. Not bad.
Exciting BIG news,Is the back cover easy to remove? Is there a video for reference?

Maybe I can make a video at a later time or someone else will post one. Opening the back plate is simple enough that it's not really required though. The microsd card is the difficult part - I'll have to give it another whirl sometime.

Might be best to put image requests in a different thread, maybe this one

I am doing reading tests right now and using 24 frontlight brightness darkmode and the battery depletes by 1% after an average of 20 minutes, refresh setting at every 10 pages.

I removed it in the same way that I removed the back off my smaller 6" HD model.
Since I have one of those iFixIt kits, I just used a single blue "guitar pick" from that kit and slid it in between the back cover and main frame and then slid it around the entire thing. There was a bit of "stickiness" taking the cover off but that was due to one of the little posts on the back cover being stuck in a small bit of waterproofing film somewhere. Subsequent removals have been easier.
No video for reference, sorry.

Hi to all, I broke my old Kobo Glo and I'm looking to a new ereader. After being not sure between the 11th gen Paperwhite and the Libra 2, but the freedom of the kobo's world is too much on my chord
Said that, I hope not to break any rules because I read something about this argument in this thread only two times in 29 pages:
Is it possibile to sideload mp3 or anyother type of audiobook file and enjoy it?
Because I think, my humble opinion, that there are so many ereader that have very similar performace that the choice is more appeal than difference in real world usage.

Apparently Amazon, one of the world's richest companies, with one of the world's richest men part of it, is quibbling over the fees visa has the temerity to charge.

Aftet 10hours and 20 minutes in sleep mode, my Libra 2 lost 1% of batt life. I guess the batt drain was fixed in the latrst update?

Thank you for performing this battery test. A query, do you have the kobo sleep cover on the device, or is it that the device just puts itself to sleep when unattended?
