I have it. The PW5 vs Libra 2 is LCD vs OLED where the PW5 is LED and the Libra 2 is OLED. LED usually has grayish blacks where OLED has real blacks.

Not trying to sell anything, just curious if anyone else finds these beneficial? I like the finger strap as it helps hold the device. With my Aura HD, I always found the hard corners dug into my palms after a period of time, so this took the weight off. I was hoping the rounder corners of the Libra 2 would eliminate the need for the strap, but after a while I find the corner just a touch uncomfortable on my palm. |

It's annoying for big fingers at the edge and catches hair. Quote:
None of the readers have "real blacks". In fact, by default, when reading manga, my Paperwhite produces darker blacks sometimes. It can easily be matched on the Libra2 if you use KOReader though. IMO, The real issue with the Paperwhite screen is it is not as sharp as the Libra2. It's an issue on texts in comics / manga for me. My second Paperwhite 5 seems slightly better than the first one, but I'm still not impressed, so they are both going to go back to Amazon.

But as bezels get ever thinner (am I the only one that appreciates chunky bezels) the sunken screen is a good thing. One of the PW5 reviews I saw mentioned that the flush screen and thin bezel lead to them accidentally turning pages.

Comparing the Libra 2 to the PW5 in the GoodEReader video, the screen of the PW5 is mush in comparison.

The blacks on the Libra 2 looked better then the muddy blacks on the PW5 in the video comparison. I watched the video in 4k on my 65" LG OLED C1. So yes, I was able to get a good look at both Readers. Even if you don't like GoodEReader reviews, they do do very good videography since going 4k.

As to the screen quality, the flush screens I have (the Sage and the Oasis) are better-looking than the sunken screens I have (the Nook and the Libra 1). But of course it can be the opposite as well, as with some Paperwhites. And yep, I love comfy bezels too. The good thing about the lopsided shape is that such devices have a large side bezel where you hold it. The 2019 Nook has nice thick bezels as well.

Now I feel so stupid I even tried to compare with just my eyes, 1 Libra2 and 2 different Paperwhite 5 SE in front of me.

You misunderstand. They were saying it was sad that amateurs make better firmware for the Kobo (KOReader) than Kobo does. Nothing to do with Kindles at all.
