yes that's exactly what i mean. i doubt the average users on (mass) will be installing third party software like KOReader. do you? of course i allow for the possibility i could be wrong.

the video gives an excellent comparison between the Libra 2 and the PW5 for Manga while (only) using the standard software. personally i think that's important information that some people might/would like to know.

Good to know you’re aware you’re comparing apples and oranges. I’ll agree that the PW looks faster in the video though it’s possible some of the difference is user induced. He tries to swipe both at once single handed why not use one hand for each.

i agree using one hand for each would have been better. i also think the fact the Libra 2 only as 512MB of RAM compared to the 1GB of RAM in the PW5 is causing the significant lag factor (regarding Manga) in the stock Kobo software.

I just created a mobi version of one of my manga at the Oasis 2/3 resolution with KCC.
I'm so surprised at how fast the Libra2 turns pages with Koreader. Almost as fast as the Paperwhite.

Don't pay attention at how yellow the Libra screen is compared to the Paperwhite, I forgot to remove the warm light setting.

thank you for making the video. installing Koreader on the Libra 2 certainly does make the page turn speed on a par with the PW5. i wonder why the stock Kobo software does such a poor job of utilizing the hardware. i'm pretty sure the Libra 2 would be even better for Manga using Koreader if it had 1GB of RAM.

The libra 2 is what it is.

If one wants it as it is, then buy it and hopefully enjoy it.

in your opinion. in my opinion without speculation new features and better hardware would happen considerably slower.

Hey, it’s okay there is no harm. I’m not sure more RAM would have changed the speed of the page refreshing in this case. My guess is it’s probably more the CPU impacting that.

my initial reply at post (267) was to Almamida's comment that the (current) Libra 2 page turns in Manga are much faster using Koreader. so why would i put my comments/thoughts regarding that in the threads you mention.

if any of my comments/posts are either inappropriate or in the wrong place i'm sure a moderator will let me know.

My Libra 2 is flexing like crazy (after i took it apart to fix squeaky button, before that it wasn't flexing), i removed back plate again, to try to fix it, it made it even worse. Back plate is the only minus mine Libra 2 has, i got used to mushy next page button.

What is that black tape on the sides in post #146, mine doesn't have it?
