Things Sony must clean up for the PRS to be successful - Page 2

Sony doesn't proofread the books, that's all on the publisher. And I browse the store on a regular browser before I buy, which gets rid of the sluggishness. There is also a wish list (which I use), but I think someone already pointed that out. You have to sign up for the emails, I get one almost every week.

Also, I love the giant margins.

I like the margins the way they currently are. I have a red reader now, and having the text come up to the edges of the display would look horrible in my opinion. Even when I had the silver reader, I liked having the margins. That's how books look, and that's how I want my book pages to look.

I do not have the sorting problems you mentioned in the bookstore. I can sort a list of books on other criteria (I tried titles a-z and titles z-a), select a book for closer inspection, then return with the back arrow to the same sorted list I had chosen.

I haven't ever received a newsletter of new releases, either. I have tried and tried to get signed up for that and for alerts for my favorite authors, but I've never been successful.

No, I look through my junk mail every day and check to be sure something I want didn't get put in there accidentally. I just have never gotten anything from Sony. I did check that I didn't want to receive third-party emails from Sony's partners, so maybe they are punishing me.

I remember it took a few months to get the promo emails (but not the author emails). I'd give Sony support a call or email.

Yes, I'm going to have to contact them. I've been waiting 2.5 years for my first email!

BTW, the emails from Sony are sort of like top secret or something. They don't mention anything about Sony in the subjects. They come from "promotions at connect..." I deleted my first couple of emails because it looked like junk.

Mine says from "The eBook store from Sony" and usually the subject is "New Releases and Featured eBooks."

I always pray for the coupons...
