Suggestion : User's custom order of books

Would it be possible to implement a user's "manual" classifying/sorting mode in cover view, without using custom columns, (ie without providing any logical arguments). for instance, by dragging and dropping books to fit in any order you wish ? Sometimes, the order people want to use isn't programmable because it is subjective and not generalizable...

I for myself use the "last added" logical order, but sometimes I modify the date in metadata to change the display order of books in my list. It would be nice and save time to be able to do that using drag/drop in a special mode ("User order" ?) It would be nice too to be able to select any number of different books and add them, manually, to a personal Virtual Library. |

You might consider the [GUI Plugin] Reading List.

At this point, I don't think it has a Library Context Menu feature (right click: add to List> ) |

Creating manual sorts is pretty futile. It means every time you add a new book you have to place it in your manual sort. If you are going to do that, you might as well just use a custom column for it.

As for adding books to a virtual library, simply create a tag name "myvl" then create a virtual library that searches for books with that tag. Now you can simply drag and drop books onto that tag in the tag browser to add them to the virtual library. |
