Where is that snapshot from? Calibre? My search box looks nothing like that.

If you select one or more books, right click on them to bring "Edit metadata"...
then chose "Edit metadata in bulk"...

and select the third tab "Search and Replace", then that's part of the search box.

I'm using Calibre 5.30 for windows, and it's looked like that ever since I can remember.

Ah, right. Sorry, I was looking at the S&R in the book editor.
Yes I see that screen now in bulk edit. I rarely use that which is why I didn't instantly recognise it.
