Back on Poll topic, I still think "Nothing, if the OP takes offense, they can always politely ask the thread be kept on topic." would work, followed closely by "Life is to short to worry about stuff like this!"

Yes, I know that's not how the numbers add up, just my personal thoughts on the matter. I think this is a great group of people who know how to have fun and also know when to be serious if needed. I am confident that we can all play well together in what ever forum/thread we wander into.

Now, see, that was my opinion exactly, however, apparently, we are in the minority.

It will be interesting to see what will happen, if or when the first thread under the new description gets 'jacked.

When I was in Germany too, a lot of people liked mayo on chips. I just couldn't survive without my HP, Sarsons vinegar, white pepper and salt, so I brought some over with me.

And who says the British don't have a national dish -- just look at it there, swimming in grease, the runny egg ready to be broken apart by the majestic chip!

In Germany you take ketchup AND mayo (the greedy Germans

). It´s called french fries "red white".

That happens to me all the time when I´m on MR - especially when AM is around with all her yummy recipes and cooking ideas. But fried eggs on toast are nice, too.

I'm not sure I can beat fried eggs on toast at the moment!

Although maybe something like poached eggs nestled in some cheesy mash...
