My daughter uses an old camera adapter cable (USB-A to USB Mini-B 4 pin??) for charging from USB and the Nintendo 3DS AC adapter when she's at home.

Did she mod it? The 3DS uses its own proprietary cable which was a big part of the kerfuffle. If it was USB micro I don't think it would have been as big a deal not to include it. I don't mind if companies don't include a cable so long as it's easy to get a hold of. I'm pretty much drowning in microUSB cables at this point even after culling a lot.

I recently purchased a Libra H2O directly from Kobo to the US without any problem. They're a bit hidden; you have to menu down through the "All eReaders" link to find the Libra H2O product listing.

Also worth noting that they have refurbished Clara HD's for $89.99, which is ten dollars less than a new Nia.

As far as I know, she didn't mod it. She had it in in her old cables box and decided to try it since the connector looked the same and it worked as a charging cable. Looking at a pinout diagram for the 3DS, it shows pin 1 as V+ and pin 4 as ground which matches with the pinout for the old camera cable (mini-B 4 pin).

To answer the original question : "Which Libra?"

The Libra2, forget about the H2O. I'm not saying people should upgrade if they're happy with their Libra, but any new person buying a Libra should opt for the Libra2.

Better screen, better contrast, better front light, I prefer the new buttons, and to be confirmed better touch sensibility/reactivity. Just wished they upgraded the CPU and it would have been a killer.

Not to mention audiobook capability. And they added all that while only increasing the cost by $10. Impressive.

Audiobooks aren't much good for me, but the other features are swinging my opinion to the 2. Particularly since post #51 seems to be that I won't need to buy another cable.

I am closely watching the threads in the Kobo forum though.

Does anybody know the weight of an Aura HD? I still haven't much a frame of reference for that otherwise.
