series:true - ignore series with only one book
I have a VL for series:true. However, I have a lot of series with only 1 book in them. Can Calibre's search only find series that have 2 or more books?

no, search operates on books. If you want to find series with only one book in them use the tag browser, with it configured to sort by number of books.

I am not sure this achieves what you want, but attached below is an Action Chains chain that will do the following:
  • Print the names of the series that contain more than one book.
  • Mark all books which belong to the series that contain more than book.

After you run the chain, the books will be marked and you can enter into VL with the current search by pressing ctrl + shift + *

I have a Saved Search for 1st in Series. you might fiddle with that:
(I added the Red in an attempt to satisfy your query)

Code:
series:true and not series_index:1
Lots of holes : assumes other books, assumes there IS also a 1
