I just read Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir and Oh my freaking Gawd was it good! I highly recommend!!!! Kinda like Arthur C Clark meets Neal Stephenson's geekiness.

We're three quarters of the way through the year. How are people doing on their challenges? I hope everyone's enjoying their reading.
I've done pretty well on reducing my TBR this year. From 901 down to 807 so far. Although some of that was discarding some books unread, I have also read more books than I've bought or got for free this year so far. |

Not likely but possible. Magazines - TBR Reduced by 10; On Plan: Currently reduced by 6, 4 more to go. 12 Books over 600 pages: Abandoned. I did finish one and almost done with 2. |

Small steps. You're clearly restricting your purchases mainly to those books you want that go on offer (£0.92 per book!). You just need to be a bit more discriminating about what books you actually want.

For the month of September, my TBR overall is down 2.
3,000 pages per month: Failure; watching more TV (mostly Britbox cop shows). Ebooks - TBR Reduced by 10; Failure - 139 over Audiobooks - TBR Reduced by 10; Failure: Current +15. Down quite a few but still over. Magazines - TBR Reduced by 10; On Plan: Currently reduced by 6, 4 more to go. For the second month in a row, I significantly cut my purchases down. For September, bought only 3 books, 0 audiobooks and 0 magazines. All 3 were authors I currently read. Reading/listening was down due to Mom's broken foot (she's doing much better - she's using walking boot now) but ultimately completed 5 books, so going in the right direction. |

I expect this to skew my PTBR list all year long, but its for a good cause. September was a horrible reading month for me. We closed on the house, took possession, spent a frantic few days painting, and then moved in at the end of the month. Hope to get back on track, but i can see that I might not hit some of my goals. I subscribe to Amazon's Kindle Unlimited so I get all I want for $10 a month. Thus I have no reason to buy any books at all I get them all free. Bestsellers are generally not available on Kindle Unlimited.
