Would the possibility of descent not depend on which variety of dragon you are looking at?

Is the standard western dragon with it's 4 legs and 2 wings 6 limbs not unique amongst vertebrates? Was there a six limbed dinosaur?

Would the wyvern with it's wings and two legs be a better possibility for descent from dinosaurs? You do realize, BTW, the pterosaurs were flying reptiles and not dinosaurs?

Couldn't a series of unfortunate events resulted in a change in the direction that chicken took? What if chickens originally had four wings but two of the wings were so tasty that it led to a massive hunt for what eventually became the elusive four-winged chicken? Could that have resulted in the loss of the tasty wings via mutation to allow chickens to survive?
